What a discovery! For the longest time, I wondered where the house was that I stayed in with Maurice Gibb and his parents (and Andy!) while in London in 1967. I had remembered that it was a duplex, the house on the left side, but that was it.

Then while going through some old mementos, I found a letter I had written to my parents dated 18 Sept 1967. On the back of the envelope was the return address at THAT house! Bingo – on to Google Maps the next second. And there it was! I can’t remember if the color has changed, but I recalled it was north of London proper (because the times I was alone, I’d take the tube into downtown London and “home” again) and sure enough it was 5 Hendale Avenue, Hendon N.W. 4, London, England.

Bonus content: My letter to my parents that was inside the envelope!
